Potential High Quality Office Space for Charitable/Voluntary Organisations

Fisherrow Community Centre in Musselburgh is now entering the initial stages of fundraising for a major redevelopment and refurbishment project. This ambitious project will see a complete transformation of the current building into a venue which will meet the needs of the local community to provide a twenty first century community resource.

A major part of the project is to transform part of the building into office space for local charitable and voluntary organisations.  In return for a very competitively priced rent, organisations will be offered a high standard of affordable office accommodation with access to a shared pool of resources.  The current plans for the Centre are based on the highly successful Norton Park Development in Albion Road and the architect, Richard Atkins, who was responsible for drawing up the plans and the Feasibility Study has incorporated many of the successful features of Norton Park within the Fisherrow project such as energy saving materials and environmentally friendly features. It is hoped that that first phase of the redevelopment work will be completed by late 2005/early 2006.

Following several recent enquiries from local organisations for office accommodation, a waiting list has now been set up and Drew Easton, Community Development Worker, is now keen to hear from any local charitable or voluntary organisation which would be interested in registering an interest in office accommodation at Fisherrow.  Please contact Drew at the Centre on 665 7590 or e-mail fisherrow@btconnect.com for further information.

If you require any further information on the Redevelopment Project, please contact Christine Vincenti on 665 4175 for an information pack.
